Radar and servo were expensive solutions due to cabling and conduit costs. The customer ruled out a mechanical float and tape tank gauge, as this was what was currently installed. This left one option further down the scale of level measurement technology a 6700 liquid level gauge board. No welding was needed to install the gauge boards to the tanks existing pipe work and the large gauge boards can easily be seen while driving around the facility. When it comes to blending, the operators just pull on a cable and tie it off at the side of the tank to raise the float out of harms way a very simple solution that makes sense. |
